In the main menu, press the “Settings” button.
Touch the "System" tab at the bottom of the screen.
Descend with the arrows to the right until you see the "System Version" menu item using the arrow at the bottom right of the screen.
The software version is in this screen.
Press the "set up" button.
Scroll through the list of choices with the large browse wheel on the right.
Read the software version on the left side of screen D1.6 (7.6.3).
